JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa’s producer price inflation slowed to 6.9 percent year-on-year in September from 7.2 percent in August, the statistics office said on Thursday.
Economists had expected PPI to slow to 7.0 percent year-on-year.
On a month-on-month basis, prices at the factory gate were up 0.1 percent after being flat in August, and against market expectations for a 0.2 percent increase.
