SA – say hello to yet another petrol price hike

JOHANNESBURG, March 27 (Reuters) – The retail price of 95-grade petrol in South Africa will rise by 162 cents or 14 percent a litre from April 1, while the wholesale diesel price will increase by more than 12 percent, the government said on Friday.

The state cited higher domestic fuel levies, the rise in international petroleum prices and a weaker rand against the dollar among the reasons for the price increases.
