Anthony Palmer is eminently qualified and professionally experienced to assume this new role, having had years of experience in structured credit sales and derivative marketing at prestigious banks in London and on Wall street. His last position prior to joining Carrick was as Managing Director and Global Head of the Alternative Risk Markets Group at Deutsche Bank.

Palmer’s contribution to the Investment Committee assisted in Carrick winning in the category ‘Excellence in Investment Planning’ in the competition International Adviser Best Practice Awards 2016 – South Africa.

In his new role, Palmer will take on more responsibility within his portfolio. As Carrick expands further into the SADC region and into Africa, it is vitally important that the company’s investment and product offering continues to remain world class and in touch with the changing needs of each region and with the unique requirements of each client.

Palmer has been with Carrick since its inception, providing, from the get-go, product development, training and strategic input. Within months, he was appointed as a senior manager within the financial advisory, where he developed a strong feel for meeting the needs of Carrick’s clients.

Palmer is passionate about providing top-class service to clients and to the organisation, holding a strong work ethic and set of values – both privately and professionally. He will be travelling fairly extensively in his new role and will be working closely with the Group CEO, Craig Featherby, as well as other directors, senior managers and wealth advisers. He will take up his newly created position from 1 January 2017.
