Nenegate in London, then Davos to assess the new age of machines

We’re off tonight on our annual adventure in the Swiss Alps where the 2016 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum promises to be more absorbing than ever. For over a decade, these five days Davos have provided an annual injection of distilled wisdom – so potent it takes months to fully absorb.

The WEF is always ahead of the curve and two years ago highlighted a breakthrough book, The Second Machine Age, by Erik Brynjolfsson and Andrew McAfee. The spark the duo ignited has since grown into such a mighty flame that it is the theme of this year’s WEF which has a slightly different title of “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

In line with our ambition to globalise, we’ll be spending this week in London en route to Davos. The intention is to meet interesting people and make a few presentations on Nenegate (what else?). One of these talks, on Friday morning, is specially for Biznews Community members. There’s no charge and seats are still available. If you also happen to be in London, let me know and I’ll send you the details.
