Growing older a reminder how much ignorance we have to work on

Spending time on the new Biznews Forum yesterday left me suitably impressed. Not just with the simple, focused design that is already proving rather popular. Also by the quality of contributions from community members.

Thanks to everyone who has registered, especially the stars sharing their knowledge so generously. If you haven’t visited the Forum yet, a treat awaits.

Reading through the queries and responses was also a reminder of how little each of us really knows. I love Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman Charlie Munger’s take on the issue.

Musing about past mistakes, Munger told last month’s Berkshire AGM he regretted that “I didn’t wise up as fast as I could have. But there’s a blessing in that, too. Now that I’m 92, I still have a lot of ignorance left to work on.” Don’t we all.
