Biznews is hiring – five things NOT so say in the interview

By Alec Hogg

Our tight team at Biznews is on the hunt for a new colleague. Some might refer to their portfolio as head of sales; we’d describe them as taking ownership of our revenue generation processes.

biznewsWe’re looking for someone with life experience who eats, sleeps and drinks business and understands that blood of a company is the revenue stream. And they will either know or be prepared to immerse themselves in learning about the multitude of opportunities available to an online business.

Our new team member will want to grow continuously, operate globally, take us to the next level, and be handy on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, Whatsapp and Skype. We’ve always done best by getting recommendations from friends. Perhaps you can help. If you know someone who fits the bill, please ask them to drop Rowan a line at rowan {} biznews dot com.

And, courtesy of yesterday’s LinkedIn post by James Caan from the Dragons Den, you might also tip them off about five things NOT to say in an interview: “What does your company do?; I know I’m really late, sorry; I just need to take this call quickly; I just need a job; and Nope – no questions.” Good advice for anyone looking to join a new team anywhere…
