Once a Saffer – celebrating SA’s latest World Champion, Greg Minnaar

The British & Irish Lions Tour to New Zealand is starting to catch alight after a gruelling first encounter over the weekend. Our expert, former Bok captain and 2007 RWC winner Bob Skinstad, called the game far more accurately than the bookies. Bob also mentioned yesterday he was surprised the SA media hadn’t picked up that his friend, pro mountain bike rider Greg Minnaar, won his seventh World Cup in Scotland over the weekend. Minnaar is a legend in the hugely popular sport and the most decorated rider of all time.

South Africans are proving their mettle all over the world. There’s even one of them, George-born former Blue Bull CJ Stander, who is playing for the Lions tomorrow.
