Retrospection is a wonderful thing, and one may be tempted to question the use of taxpayer money post the vote of no confidence.

Some expected the conscience of some ANC MPs to come to the fore, but by voting against Zuma, they were likely to vote themselves out of a job, with or without a secret ballot.

So while some may be disappointed with the outcome, it was out of everyone’s (other than the 251 ANC MPs) hands, and if real change is sought, it will have to come about at the 2019 general elections, where you decide your future.

As Jack Canfield wrote: ‘You only have control over three things in your life – the thoughts you think, the images you visualise and the ACTIONS YOU TAKE.’
