Not a lot to get too excited over in today’s papers although The Star’s new angle on the mystery “supercar” crash is an interesting one (click here for the full story on IOL). But, all told, none of the splashes are particularly special and neither are the pics. Rather, the land story leading The Mercury and the Pretoria News (they are both part of the Indie group) is an example of how to take a burning issue brimming with bitter politics, history, big money and emotion – a looming battle between farmers and the government over land reform – and make it a yawn. Sies, mense!
