JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa’s net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to $42.727 billion in December from $42.946 billion in November, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Thursday.
Gross reserves were higher at $49.102 billion from $48.54 billion, while the forward position, which represents the central bank’s unsettled or swap transactions, eased to $1.975 billion from $2.894 billion.
