JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South African power utility Eskom will implement rolling blackouts from 0800 GMT TO 2000 GMT on Tuesday due to technical faults with some of its generators overnight, its spokesperson said.
“We lost some generating units overnight due to technical faults and have to implement load shedding,” Khulu Phasiwe told Reuters, adding that about 1,000 megawatts would be cut from the electricity grid.
