A bizarre rule of law – depriving kids of America since 1930

The United States may be the world’s largest economy but some of its lawmaking seems more bizarre than sensical.

While guns can be sold over retail store counters, Kinder Eggs – yes, those surprise toys embedded inside a chocolate egg that parents and kids across the globe know too well – are banned.

A 1930s act makes any food with a non-nutritive object embedded in it illegal. Leaving kids deprived of such treats yet living in fear of the next gun-wielding citizen.

It’s a shame common sense doesn’t always make it onto the list of legal contents…
