Carts and horses; Ramaphoria pulled the wrong one first

By Stuart Lowman

The optimism was good while it lasted, but it seems that the euphoria first felt when he took over from Jacob has come to an abrupt halt.

Load shedding is back, jobs aren’t in the ascendancy and foreign direct investment is lagging. But the reality is Cyril has only been in the job for six months and is trying to reverse the nine-year Zuma trend.

So whilst it seems we pulled the cart before the horse on this one, the turnaround will require hard work, diligence and some much-needed transparency. Oh, and on our end…some patience.
