The concept of backing Exponential Growth Companies, mostly US-based, served us well since the BizNews Share portfolio launched in December 2014 – it has grown from R2.25m to R9.5m in almost eight years. After my front row seat at yesterday’s investing masterclass with John Biccard, it’s impossible to ignore these warnings to restructure the portfolio. Highly respected money manager Biccard explained brilliantly why our portfolio had done so well – but also why it could drop by 50% or more in the year ahead.
