Premium: Musk, personification of entrepreneurship, now disrupting takeover processes
Watching Elon Musk change the world has become one of my favourite occupations. There's some reflected glory the Pretoria born and raised super-entrepreneur provides all in his former homeland. But more so, he's a living reminder of what entrepreneurship is actually all about.
Musk is now widely referred to as the world's greatest entrepreneur. He has also just turned 50, a milestone referenced by the establishment as a time to reduce risk-taking. True to type, the creator of Tesla, SpaceX, and Boring Company is doing the precise opposite.
Last night, the world's richest man confirmed he is deadly serious about buying Twitter (see below). He will use $20bn of his own cash and has pledged a third of his Tesla stake as security for loans from all the major investment US banks available to him (ie except two advising Twitter).
