In photos: WINIR Symposium on the legacy of Professor Ludwig Lachmann

The University of Witwatersrand (Wits) and PPS were co-sponsors of the 2017 symposium of the World Interdisciplinary Network for Institutional Research (WINIR) last week which explored the legacy of Professor Ludwig Lachmann.

This event was attended by high-profile economists from all over the world to celebrate the life and contributions of Ludwig M. Lachmann (1906-1990).

The symposium was hosted at PPS’ head office in Parktown, Johannesburg from 11-13 April 2017.

There were three prominent keynote speakers during the event, including Richard Langlois (University of Connecticut and University of the Witwatersrand), Deidre Mccloskey (University of Illinois at Chicago), and Virgil H. Storr (George Mason University). There were was also a panel discussion between former students and colleagues of the late Professor.
