In April 1997, David Shapiro was the very first guest on SA’s very first nightly business radio. We called it the SAFM Market Update and for the next 15 years, the radio stations may have changed but David remained my regular guest/market watcher/co-host. During this time we became close friends and built a wonderful rapport.
Another chapter began yesterday when the country’s favourite stockbroker and I linked up again. David has kindly agreed to be interviewed every afternoon at five minutes after the market’s close. The chat is immediately uploaded to the Biznews channel on Soundcloud.com, and audio published on the site. It’s easy to download onto your phone for listening at your convenience. By around 6:30pm our transcriber Traci has done her bit and the full transcript of David’s daily wisdom is available for you on Biznews.com.
We had fun yesterday. David, as always, was in top form. So make a date with Biznews just after the JSE closes to get all the investment news you need. Radio on demand. The way it should be.
