We are all born roughly the same. Our differences develop as the result of personal paths and how quickly we are prepared to learn from the experiences of others.
That’s one of the reasons why the smartest people have a preference for reading biographies. And also possess great listening skills – intuitively knowing why the Good Lord gave us two ears and only one mouth.
After a day of meetings in London, the major takeaway is that South Africans possess some very unique advantages because of these environmental conditions. In my industry that includes understanding how to live with bandwidth scarcity and a virtually non-existent postal system.
South Africans also understand how to operate where the only constant is change. In a rapidly transforming world, that’s an asset not to be underestimated.
