Changing faces doesn’t necessarily change culture

Canadian author Morgen Witzel says the leader is not always responsible for the failure of a company.

So when the new KPMG SA CEO Nhlamu Dlomu says that on this day, 9 October, is day one for the ‘new’ KPMG, what are her chances?

As Witzel follows up, “Fish do rot from the head, but sometimes the cultural failings are so deep rooted that the company would probably fail no matter who ran it.”

A matter that I’m sure occupies much of Dlomu’s time.
