🔒 Boardroom Talk – Hermanus passes its BNC#6 test with flying colours

In the photo above, smiles on the faces of Jeanette, Stuart, and myself as we held the BizNews 10th birthday cake weren’t for show. The fantastic efforts of everyone involved in the event, from Chef Marinda through to venue manager Geraldine, exceeded all expectations. This successful trial run for BNC#6, which is set for March next year, showcased Hermanus in its full glory.

Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg has been the cherished host of the previous five editions of the BizNews conference. This fantastic partnership has blessed us with countless memories. However, after taking into account comprehensive feedback from our tribe, the consensus is clear – a more conveniently located venue is desired, despite their affection for Champagne’s staff and venue.

The 200 members of the BizNews community who joined us on Friday can vouch for the fact that Hermanus truly delivered. So, we urge you to mark your calendars for March 12-15, 2024. It’s also a good idea to get your accommodation booked well in advance. Based on feedback from last week’s keynote speakers who were hosted by the splendid Misty Waves boutique hotel, we highly recommend this establishment (click here).

All sessions of the BizNews@10 conference were recorded in full. Video, audio, and transcripts of the six keynotes will be posted over the following week or so. The speakers rose to the occasion, focusing on the bright side and providing hope during what seems like a particularly challenging period in our nation’s history.

BNC#6 has our most impressive lineup of speakers yet. Our “nightcap” sessions will feature SA deputy president Paul Mashatile and author Anthea Jeffery. The roster of keynote speakers includes notable politicians such as DA leader John Steenhuisen, ActionSA’s Herman Mashaba, IFP’s Velinkosini Hlabisa, Corné Mulder of the FF+, Gayton McKenzie of the PA, and BOSA’s Mmusi Maimane.

Other speakers who have confirmed their participation for BNC#6 include Rob Hersov, Frans Cronje, Clem Sunter, Angus Buchan, Magnus Heystek, Ian Cameron, Jan Oberholzer, and GG Alcock. More investment gurus will be added soon. Keep an eye out – bookings for the event open next month.
