Boardroom Talk – Pretoria’s dilemma after South Africans included among Hamas victims
By Alec Hogg
In light of our recent coverage on the Israel-Hamas conflict, we've received a multitude of suggestions, ranging from taking a specific stance to featuring various experts for interviews. While we appreciate the input, it's important to note that the intricacies of the Middle East lie beyond BizNews' core expertise. As a result, we'll continue to rely on our global partners like Financial Times and Bloomberg, as well as local experts with world-class insights, such as Dr. Frans Cronje.
Speaking of Dr. Cronje, it raises the question of whether Pretoria will follow his advice and recant on its immediate and vocal support for Hamas. This poses a dilemma for Pretoria, given that a state's primary responsibility is to safeguard the lives of its citizens.
