Boardroom Talk: A reminder from Mashaba that some people are sacrificing much to rid SA of the ANC

Herman Mashaba reminds the nation that there are still many people sacrificing a lot in order to rid SA of the ANC.

Herman Mashaba looked like a man enduring a hefty workload when we connected late yesterday afternoon for our scheduled interview. Which he is. Still, I was especially keen to put Paul O'Sullivan's advice to him that the Action SA's leader slow down on demanding Cyril Ramaphosa resignation over Phala Phala.

As it happened, that suggestion fell on deaf ears. But there was much else in what followed to make the conversation fascinating. As it always seems to be when I connect with Herman, a successful entrepreneur whom I've been privileged to know (and admire) for many years.

Mashaba remains a reluctant politician. He finds it a brutal job, but has been driven towards because of the national need. So loves sharing uplifting moments, like how Action SA is celebrating over 100 branches in North West and Limpopo provinces – and that he'd just emerged from a positive "four or five hour" meeting with DA leader John Steenhuisen.
