At the top of my permanent to-do list is an update of my 2016 book, "How to Invest Like Warren Buffett," which has sold out all of the 10,000 copies printed, making it a 'best-seller' in SA terms (bookshop owners tell me there are a mere 100,000 book readers in our young democracy — maybe that's why we're in such trouble).

I mention this as both a nudge to self, and justification for publication of the piece from our partners at the FT. Buffett is 93, but despite his advanced years, remains a beacon for many asset managers. So if the Oracle of Omaha is continuing to build his already record cashpile, it's worth paying attention.
