EFF members disrupt Gauteng premier’s delivery of SOPA

(SAPA) – Members of the Economic Freedom Fighters disrupted premier David Makhura's delivery of the state-of-the-province address in the Gauteng legislature on Monday, eNCA reported.

The disruptions were led by MPL Mandisa Mashego.

Speaker Ntombi Mekgwe tried to put an end to the disruptions, eNCA reported.

EFF members, however, laughed out loud while others shouted for "points of order".

One of the MPLs shouted: "The premier is lying."

Last week, Western Cape premier Helen Zille's state-of-the-province address was suspended indefinitely after several disruptions by the African National Congress.
