Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Des Van Rooyen's urgent application to have former Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela report interdicted has also been struck down.

At the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, Judge Dustan Mlambo ruled in favour of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Democratic Alliance, Cope and the United Democratic Movement.

Mlambo also granted the application for intervention by African National Congress member Vytjie Mentor in Zuma's case.

He said all applications were granted against Zuma with costs.

Zuma's council Advocate Anthea Platt then asked for an application for an amendment.

The EFF's advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi said the case should be adjourned until Wednesday for arguments on Zuma's amendments.

Mlambo ruled that Van Rooyen's application lacked urgency and struck it down with costs.

"The application of Des van Rooyen is struck from the roll for lack of urgency with costs," he said.

The case was adjourned to Wednesday morning.
