SA appoints economist as new SARS head

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has appointed economist Thomas Moyane as the new head of the South African Revenue Service (SARS), effective from September 27th, the president's office said in a statement on Tuesday.

Moyane previously worked at the state information technology agency and takes over a job vacated last year by Oupa Magashula.
