SA petrol price to rise by 96c a litre from Wednesday
A 9.3% jump in the petrol price and an 80.5c a litre increase in the fuel tax will wipe out half the potential benefit for SA motorists from crude's crash.
"The main reason for the fuel price increases is the average increase in the price of crude oil during the period under review compared to the previous period. The other reason is the depreciation of the rand against the U.S. dollar," it said in a statement.
