Cape Town – South Africa's newest airline Skywise has announced it will be increasing its operational fleet and daily flights on its only route between Johannesburg and Cape Town from 11 June.

Skywise said its fleet of two now enables the airline to start streaming an additional four supplementary flights, taking its total number of daily flights to eight, with flights starting from 06:00 and ending at 20:15 in the evening.

This allows passengers the convenience of same-day travel for a full day's business or family visit in either Cape Town or Johannesburg, the airline said.

"We are very excited about the increase in fleet size and daily flights. Skywise  is witnessing fast growth and hopes to maintain the trend ," said  Co-Chairs Tabassum Qadir and J Malik.

"Skywise is consolidating its position against the collective competition and that it is doing so during our launch period is a milestone," said Qadir.  News24/Traveller24
