The third edition of the Cape Town Open will see some of South Africa’s international golfers coming home for the start of the Sunshine Tour’s summer season.
George Coetzee, ranked 76th in the world, will be among the top South Africans at the Royal Cape Golf Club from November 27 to 30.
Coetzee, who won the Joburg Open in February, will be joined by Richard Sterne (84), Hennie Otto (120), Branden Grace (139), Darren Fichardt (159) and Thomas Aiken (161).
Otto and Aiken were winners on the European Tour this year, with Aiken taking the Africa Open in East London and Otto winning the Open d’Italia.
The field also includes David Frost, 2012 champion Jake Roos and defending champion Tjaart van der Walt, who cruised to his maiden Sunshine Tour title in 2013.
The winner will walk away with a share of the R1.5-million prize money and the added BONUS of a spot in the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
