The world's most expensive buildings may surprise some but having lived in Dubai for a couple of years, and seeing first hand the thirst of architects in wanting to build the next biggest, it's no surprise. And it's in this region that the most expensive building currently resides. Saudi Arabia plays host to the Abraj Al Baita, which costs a staggering $15 billion. There is clearly no shortage of money in the Saudi Arabian government, although with oil below $35-a-barrel, such projects may not be repeated in the near future. The second most expensive building was built in Singapore and it cost a cool $8 billion for the Marina Bay Sands. It's a mind-blowing graphic of wealth being thrown into bricks and mortars supplied by Cantrell & Crowley. – Stuart Lowman
