DUBLIN – Even the most casual of music listeners knows Aretha Franklin, whose huge voice and huge personality have been a fixture of the music scene since the 1960s. Sadly, on Thursday the Queen of Soul lost her battle with cancer at the age of 76. There's not much I can say about Aretha Franklin that other, better writers won't say in the days to come.
