South Africa appears to have backed the right vaccine horse as its favourite, Johnson & Johnson, is enjoying five star reviews from the US's meticulous FDA. However, as the story below from our partners at The Wall Street Journal reports, the vaccine has has a mixed response with the SA-discovered variant – but on the upside, it does enjoy a high success rate in combating serious cases of the local strain. – Alec Hogg
