The coronavirus pandemic has had the dual effect of further impoverishing the poor and boosting the already gargantuan wealth of a select few beneficiaries. Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, who came up with the idea for his software after repeatedly travelling 10 hours to see his girlfriend while they were college students, is one of those who have been served well by Covid-19. Worldwide lockdowns have created a significant demand for Zoom's software.
