There're no two ways about it – Tesla's third-quarter earnings report shot the lights out. Tesla generated its largest-ever (and also, only third-ever) quarterly profit of $311.5 million, doubled its revenues to nearly $7 billion and even increased its free cash flows to $881 million.
It's a brilliant performance that helps buttress the credibility of troubled CEO Elon Musk, who has also had a heck of a quarter (including, memorably, being sued by the SEC for securities fraud and by a British diver for libel).
