Are we there yet? Calling the bottom of the market – The Wall Street Journal
Contrarian analysts, of course, believe that bear markets don’t come to an end until investors throw in the towel in despair.
The Covid-19 pandemic has sparked a wild ride on world markets. Earlier this month, US markets recorded their best two week gains in 80 years. By the beginning of this week, US equities were up more than 25% since the lows of March, as Bloomberg reports. Traders are wondering whether to go long and whether the worst is over for stock prices. The Wall Street Journal's investment columnist Mark Hulbert examines the data.
