What’s next for SpaceX after astronauts splash down – Wall Street Journal
It couldn't have been better, even if it were scripted. The race between Boeing and SpaceX to NASA's launch, coupled with launchpad explosions and weather-based delays, to an eventual successful splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, has all the workings of movie-gold. SpaceX's partnership with NASA marks an historic feat of the US private and public sector working together towards space exploration. The arrival of astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on earth less than a day after departing the International Space Station, could mean that NASA no longer has to rely on Russia to get to space. Rather, exorbitant fees like the $90-million it paid for a seat on a Russian rocket, could be invested back into the US economy. Check out the first splashdown in 45 years below. – Nadim Nyker
