Former Aurora directors R35m liability appeal dismissed, sequestration next
Solidarity Media Release
Former directors of Aurora, Solly and Fazel Bhana's application to appeal an earlier ruling that they were liable for R35 million in the Aurora saga has been dismissed by the North Gauteng High Court.
In the appeal application, the two already indicated that neither they nor their family would be in the financial position to pay the amount, and they will therefore be sequestrated soon.
"Today, justice was served for the hundreds of Aurora employees, and this judgment is an indication that the others involved in this matter will not be able to hide from justice," Gideon du Plessis, Solidarity General Secretary said.
