With a month to go, the third BizNews Conference in the Drakensberg is officially sold out. Every one of the 152 rooms at Champagne Sports Resort has now been allocated.
Before our final pre-conference visit to the resort last week we knew the “house full” signs would soon need to be raised. So we asked the resort’s events chief Kogin Naicker to apply some creative thinking. He has come up with a plan.
The complex also houses separately-owned chalets, a number of which have been secured by the Champagne Sports team. The per-person cost is identical to those sharing a hotel room. But to avoid logistical nightmares, bookings can only be done on a per-chalet basis.
In other words, if you haven’t yet booked but still want to attend BNC#3, there is an alternative to moping about being too late. You can share a chalet and make it cost effective by bringing in at least three other participants – or another couple.
If the idea appeals to you please drop Kogin an email via [email protected] and he’ll help you through it.
But please don’t tarry. Attendance of BNC#3 is restricted to those actually staying on the property. And there are only a limited number of chalets available to us.
Here are the options:
2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Chalet – R25,900
The booking is for three nights (Tuesday to Friday) and includes four tickets to BNC#3 and all the food and activities as per guests who are staying in the hotel.
3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom Chalet – R38,850
The booking is for three nights (Tuesday to Friday) and includes six tickets to BNC#3 and all the food and activities as per guests who are staying in the hotel.
PS Extra nights can be added at R1,095 per person per night inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast.
