Mentor made headlines earlier this year when she revealed more of the alleged influence the Gupta family had over the government.

Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas and Mentor claimed the Guptas offered them Cabinet positions.

Jonas said he was offered the job of finance minister shortly before President Jacob Zuma removed Nhlanhla Nene in December last year.

The SA First Forum was created in a bid to defend the Constitution and stop corruption.

Mentor said on Facebook that the Guptas offered her the job of public enterprises minister when Barbara Hogan was removed from the position in 2010.

The offer was made to her at the family’s Saxonwold, Johannesburg, home. She claimed Zuma was in another room at the time.

She said she was offered the position on condition that she drop SAA’s route to India and give to them.

“I refused and so I was never made a minister.” – News24
