Anglo American Plc has agreed to sell its steelmaking coal business to Peabody Energy Corp. for up to $3.78 billion, advancing its restructuring strategy to focus on copper, premium iron ore, and crop nutrients. This divestment marks a key step in Anglo's simplification plan, following a strong defence against BHP Group's takeover attempt earlier this year.
