LIVESTREAM: The BRK AGM with Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger in Omaha

Watch the 2016 Berkshire Hathaway Annual General Meeting live on BizNews.com.

Today, from 4pm to 10pm South African time, come to this page as we go live to Omaha to join 40 000 pilgrims attending the 2016 Berkshire Hathaway annual general meeting – courtesy of the Yahoo Finance Livestream. This is the best attended AGM in the world. For five and a half hours – interspersed with a comfort break – Berkshire chairman Warren Buffett and his business partner Charlie Munger spontaneously answer questions posed by shareholders in attendance and remotely (via email – curated by three financial journalists sitting next to the stage). Get into the mood by watching clips from an interview with Warren this week. This is an event like no other, one that I've attended in person seven times over the past decade or so. We'll be transcribing the full event this year, posted through the evening in the Biznews Global Investing section, and uploading audio from Charlie and Warren to the Biznews Soundcloud stream. So if you're one of those normal people who have other plans, never fear. This year, for the first time, there will be a permanent record of Buffett and Munger wisdom that you will be able to access at your leisure. Also, as usual I'll be live tweeting throughout the five and a half hours of questions and answers – to access as they're typed, follow me on Twitter at @alechogg. For the more sophisticated twitterati, we'll be using the hashtag #BRK2016. – Alec Hogg
