Musk’s next big reveal: The sexiest Tesla SUV ever! The Wall Street Journal
EDINBURGH — Thanks in part to a generous subsidy from the Scottish government, which is on a mission to convert residents to environmentally friendly forms of transport, I recently bought a nippy little electric sports car. Driving an attractive, silent car that doesn't spew fumes and has self-drive type features has been very exciting so far. Less fun is the relatively short battery life of the BMW i3. After longer trips of about an hour each way, it's time to start thinking about plugging in the car alongside a range of other cars at the local parking lot charging points. The BMW i3 has a capacity to travel up to 120 miles before I charge up, so I am immediately feeling envious of the future owners of the Tesla Model Y SUV. Elon Musk has promised this compact sport-utility vehicle will have a range of up to 300 miles. The torque of the new model is comparable with the BMW's as is the pricing. I can't help feeling that Elon Musk is onto a winner with the Model Y SUV. – Jackie Cameron
