Nothing like a good bit of leaked information to get the interwebs buzzing, I like to say. Here we have pricing on what is probably the most anticipated vehicle to be released in 2016, the new Toyota Hilux. I say that because there’s no doubting a South African’s love for a Hilux. They’re ingrained in the very culture of this country – in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if early 1800’s ox-wagons carried a similar badge on their Great Trek.
Thanks to some chaps on 4x4community.co.za – along with Durban South Toyota – we no longer need to wait until Toyota officially present the vehicle later this month. We have all the detail we need right here; pricing and engine line up.

What can be said at this stage is that if the pricing is accurate, the new Hilux is very competitive indeed. This has probably been a sticking point in recent years, when things like the Ford Ranger and VW Amarok were stealing a bit of Hilux-lunch. No longer, say Toyota.
