Alec Hogg: All hail the Free State activist – this time with the interview link!
For only the second time this year, the contrarians among us will today celebrate Friday the 13th. It's my absolutely favourite day because of a life-changing event that happened 30 years ago. For many, however, they're grateful the day only happens once in some years and a maximum of three times in others. South Africans will be hoping this Friday the 13th turns out to be a really bad day for one Elias 'Ace' Magashule (61) who appears in court today on criminal charges relating to a R255m asbestos roof audit scam pulled by the provincial government he led for nine years.
