The JSE all-share index is trading 0.3% lower in trade today, as the market experiences broad-based losses.
The financial index is 0.8% lower, the resource index 0.5% lower and the industrial index 0.1% lower.
In company news, Eqstra Holdings Ltd has issued a cautionary advising that the company has entered into negotiations which if successfully concluded may have a material effect on the share price.
Full-year results for Old Mutual revealed adjusting operating profit to have increased by 16% in constant currency. The company has declared a final dividend for the year of 6.25p (UK), with the last day to trade for shareholders being the 22 April 2015.
In currencies, the Rand is trading at 11.56 to the Dollar, 17.82 to the British Pound and 12.99 to the Euro. In Commodities Gold is trading at $1,206/oz., Platinum at $1,171/oz. and Brent Crude at $61.1/barrel.
On the economic front, we are expecting Preliminary GDP data out at 3:30pm from the U.S.
