One of my year’s most welcomed e-mails arrived in the inbox last night. It was a reminder from Berkshire Hathaway that this year’s AGM in Omaha will be held on April 30th – and asked that if I was planning to attend, please to let them know so accreditation can be arranged.
I missed last year’s 50th anniversary of the Buffett/Munger Berkyfest for reasons outside my control. But wild horses won’t keep me away in 2016. Especially after my first book in six years – How to invest like Warren Buffett (global edition) – hit the bookstores this week.
It’s a book that I’m really proud of, documenting a journey of discovery that began more than a decade ago after making the first trip to Omaha following some urging from local Buffett disciples, every serious investor requires at least one pilgrimage to where the Oracle holds court. If you’re among us, why not join the hundreds of South Africans who make the trek to Nebraska? At 85 and 92, Warren and Charlie aren’t getting any younger.
