Got a timely reminder yesterday from London-based SA entrepreneur Jacques Basson. There is an opportunity in virtually every environment. All it takes is the right attitude.
Basson, who has a successful contract cleaning business in the U.K, uses South Africa’s prescriptive BEE regulations as an example. Instead of kicking against the laws, he suggests, look for the opportunity. Like offering training services to meet the BEE forced demand.
His positive attitude is supported by what he learns through his appropriately named ” Klipkouer” podcasts where he interviews and shares practical ideas from people like himself. Building a business sometimes feels as hard as chewing rocks. Seeing the glass half full helps.
