The Daily Insider: A young civil engineer’s journey to BNC#3 will be most interesting

I’m willing to bet young civil engineer Andrew Goodhead’s journey to next month’s BNC#3 will be the most interesting of any tribesman joining us in the Drakensberg. Andrew is taking a seven day ride on a solar powered bicycle from Cape Town to Champagne Sports Resort, covering the 1 500km at an average of 215km daily.

His purpose: to represent young investors at the event and to “inspire other young SAs to get moving, reach their creative potential and get involved in society.” Andrew’s adventure will be documented through daily interviews shared on the BizNews platforms.

But he needs some help. If you live along his route (or know someone who does) and are prepared to provide a plate of hot food, a bed, or even a patch of ground for his tent, please let my colleague Clive Eksteen know via [email protected].

Andrew will overnight at Breede DC/Tankwa (Sun 20th); Sutherland (Mon 21st); Victoria West (Tues 22nd); Philipstown (Wed 23rd); Bethulie (Thurs 24th); Ladybrand (Fri 25th); and Sterkfontein (Sat 26th). He will also be carrying some bottles from our Wine Club partners to share on the way.
